Are you passionate chef looking for a new opportunity? This is an incredible opportunity for a hands on head chef with a passion for the italian cuisine.
This expanding, trendy and modern hotel is looking for a head chef in the beutiful Florence! With 20+ hotels around Europe and plans to continue expanding in the coming years, they are looking for a Head chef who is passionate, creative and who enjoys new challenges. As a Head chef, you will have a passion for Italian cuisine and will be responsible for a small new project taking place inside of the hotel.
Who are you?
- At least 4+ years of experience as a head chef in hotels or restaurants
- Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
- Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Prior experience in fast paced environment
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
- Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Credentials in health and safety training (HACCP)
- Degree in Culinary science or related certificate
What will you do?
- Responsible for the day to day operations in the kitchen
- Hiring and training of new employees
- Purchasing and organizing different events/locations
- Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes to fascinate guests
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety
- Prepare dishes based on the menu of the restaurant
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified needs
- Apply the HACCP rules at all times in the kitchen
- Proficiency in English and Italian is a must
