About the Company
Link Engineering Company (LINK) is a premier designer and manufacturer of precision test equipment, specialised in developing customised solutions for the Automotive, Aviation, Off‑Highway, Rail, and Civil Engineering industries. Headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, outside of Detroit, LINK maintains testing laboratories, manufacturing, and support facilities around the globe. Responsibilities
Analyse tender documents (RFQ/RFP), technical specifications, and contractual requirements to identify the most suitable technical solutions for the proposal of customised test benches in automotive, aerospace, or structural engineering. Review sales information and determine if there is sufficient information to prepare a proposal. Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Sales, and Operations teams to gather technical inputs and define integrated solutions. Distribute sales requests to other departments if needed. Ensure all sales requests are properly set up and tracked. Generate sales proposals: drawings (initial concept), preliminary sizing, technical specification, and cost estimates. Ensure customer requests are satisfied in the sales proposal. Support the sales team during technical meetings, customer presentations, negotiations, and technical clarifications. Attend customer meetings on-site and conference calls. Contract review before order acceptance. Lead the project kick‑off and internal/external daily collaboration with the Project Management team to ensure a smooth handover of acquired projects. Ensure adherence to legal and ethical business practices. Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, or related fields) or equivalent technical qualification. Preferably 3+ years of experience in complex system design or pre‑sales roles within industrial, testing or engineering environments. Basic knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical design. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the application of physical principles and technology to the preliminary design and sizing of various goods and services. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and project documentation. AutoCAD and Inventor (or equivalent 3D modelling software) is a plus. Full English knowledge. Benefits
