The EMEA Energy and Water team is looking for a Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Centre network.
If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure, your work will help deliver large-scale water projects, and water infrastructure projects that our infrastructure needs to renewably and strategically operate.
This role is available in Madrid, Zaragoza, London, Frankfurt, and Dublin.
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage design consultants, contractual drafting, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules
- Manage remote 3rd project delivery teams from design through to construction, and possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project success.
- Multitask and re-prioritize and effectively lead deliveries based on ever changing business needs
- Build and maintaining overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to Senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.
- Prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges.
A Day in the Life
- Liaison with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (Water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors etc)
- Leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projects.
- Ensure construction standards are followed and national construction regulation are complied with.
- Create detailed planning packs to build scalable and future proof water infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
- Experience in commissioning
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
