Your day at NTT DATA

The Vice President, Business Relationship is a senior leadership role, responsible for playing a pivotal role in nurturing and managing critical relationships with business stakeholders to advance organization\'s strategic goals. This senior-level position involves developing and executing strategic plans to enhance the company\'s reputation, partnerships, and growth opportunities. This role is a people management role responsible for fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving strategic and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key business stakeholders, partners other external stakeholders.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for high-value accounts and strategic partners.
  • Understands the unique needs and interests of each stakeholder and adjusts communication and engagement strategies accordingly.
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive business relations strategy aligned with the organization\'s overall goals and objectives.
  • Identifies opportunities for collaboration, strategic alliances, and business development with key stakeholders.
  • Continuously assesses and adapts the strategy based on changing market conditions and stakeholder priorities.
  • Negotiates and finalizes agreements, contracts, and partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Acts as a mediator in resolving conflicts and disputes between the internal stakeholders and our partners.
  • Identifies potential risks and challenges and develops strategies to mitigate them.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments that may impact the organization\'s relationships.
  • Builds and leads high-performing team(s) providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams within the organization to ensure alignment and synergy in stakeholder engagement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Substantial understanding of the industry in which the company operates, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
  • Substantial grasp of the company\'s business model, goals, and financial performance.
  • Substantial knowledge of the key stakeholders, including clients, partners, investors, government entities, and their respective needs and objectives.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization\'s overall business strategy.
  • Substantial knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to business relationships and partnerships.
  • Substantial verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information and negotiate agreements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and seize opportunities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and stakeholder priorities.
  • Substantial ability to build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to embrace change and adapt to evolving business and market dynamics.
  • Ability to handle pressure and setbacks while remaining focused on achieving positive outcomes.
  • Customer-centric approach that prioritizes the needs and satisfaction of clients and partners.

Academic qualifications and certifications :

  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in Business or Information Technology or related field.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA is advantageous.
  • Relevant technology / business certifications are advantageous.

Required experience :

  • Substantial experience in business relationship management, corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, or a closely related field is crucial.
  • Substantial experience gained in a similar leadership role equivalent to a Senior Director or Director level or above.
  • Substantial experience gained within a global IT services organization.
  • Substantial experience in managing high-value accounts, key clients, strategic partnerships, or investor relations is often a prerequisite.
  • Substantial experience working in the same industry or a closely related industry as the hiring company can be advantageous, as it demonstrates industry-specific knowledge and contacts.
  • Substantial experience leading and managing high-performing professional level team(s).
