About the Role
Leonardo, an international leader in Aerospace, Defense and Security, seeks a Junior Bid Specialist to join the Commercial, CSS&T & Proprietary Programs Business unit in Cameri. The role supports the preparation, negotiation and management of proposals, collaborating with cost estimation, legal, contract management, program managers and subject‑matter experts.
Responsibilities
- Receive and interpret Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Prepare bid responses, including proposal development, pricing and cost analysis.
- Negotiate and document proposals.
- Coordinate with internal functions such as cost estimation, legal, contract management and program managers.
- Verify understanding of the content to be quoted with relevant Subject Matter Experts.
- Support the team in the transfer of information and the explanation of processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics or a diploma compensated by relevant experience.
- Junior level with demonstrated capabilities and experience in proposal development.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English, B2 level.
- Medium‑high proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, analysis, creation of interconnected spreadsheets, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- General knowledge of Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Technical, Behavioral and Industry Skills
- Experience with offers in the governmental sector and to prime contractors.
- Knowledge of USA FAR/DFAR regulations.
- Ability to work in a team and open to dialogue and continuous discussion.
- Strong proactivity and ability to adapt quickly to changing dynamics.
- Result‑oriented mindset.
