Location: Emilia-Romagna region, Italy (with occasional international travel, including to North America)

With a heritage spanning over 50 years, they are a technical partner to some of the world’s leading championships and OEMs.
They deliver full-vehicle programmes and simulation-based solutions, supporting racing teams, automotive manufacturers, and aerospace partners with cutting-edge engineering services. This is a rare opportunity to join their Vehicle Dynamics & Performance Department - a highly technical group driving innovation across multiple sectors.
The Role
As a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer – Simulation & Modelling, you'll play a key role in developing simulation tools and dynamic models used across various internal programmes. You'll focus on multibody modelling, optimisation algorithms, and mathematical simulation, while collaborating closely with R&D, software, and aerodynamic teams.
This position is ideal for an engineer with a passion for simulation, coding, and vehicle performance - especially those with a long-term goal of working in high-performance environments across racing, road, and aerospace platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain multibody and mathematical models for vehicle simulation
- Build post-processing scripts and data analysis tools to support performance development
- Implement, test, and refine optimisation algorithms used in system and vehicle tuning
- Support development of internal lap time simulation tools and virtual validation frameworks
- Interface with cross-functional groups including Aero, Software, and Vehicle Design
- Assist in model correlation and continuous tool improvement across projects
- Contribute to vehicle and system control strategies through simulation feedback
- Participate in short-duration international travel as required (e.g., U.S. tech centre)
Skills & Experience Required
- Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in simulation, modelling, or algorithm development
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, and C++
- Proven experience in developing or using optimisation algorithms
- Background in lap time simulation and dynamic performance modelling
- Knowledge of vehicle control systems and dynamic response modelling
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level)
- Passion for automotive engineering and motorsport
- Strong team player with a flexible, open-minded, and proactive approach
- Comfortable with occasional international travel and non-standard working hours
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working in a motorsport or high-performance automotive environment
- Exposure to vehicle dynamics fundamentals and dynamic vehicle testing correlation
- Familiarity with control systems, embedded optimisation, or similar applied projects
