On behalf of our Client, a global pharmaceutical company, IQVIA is looking for a Value Access and Policy Specialist who can join an exciting working environment in a dynamic atmosphere.


Purpose

The Value Access & Policy Specialist will support the development and implementation of market access strategies to ensure appropriate and timely access to our products for patients. The role will contribute to engagement and advocacy activities with payers, health authorities, and national/regional stakeholders to help build effective dialogue and partnerships that enable more patient-centric policies and regulations.

This position requires close collaboration with internal functions (Sales, Medical, Marketing, Legal, HEOR, Regional Public Affairs) and a solid understanding – or strong interest in developing an understanding – of external stakeholders’ dynamics and decision-making processes.


Key Tasks

The Value Access & Policy Specialist will support the VA & Policy Lead (and broader MIA/Access team) in the following activities:

Support to Market Access Strategies & P&R

  • Contribute, under the guidance of the VA & Policy Lead, to the development and implementation of market access strategies for new and existing products.
  • Support pricing and reimbursement (P&R) activities in collaboration with the HEOR team and Regional Public Affairs Managers.

Market & Policy Analysis

  • Support market analysis and competitive landscape assessments.
  • Continuously monitor the regulatory and market environment, providing updated inputs for the adaptation of market access strategies and for the preparation of regional value dossiers.
  • Monitor and analyze policy developments and trends that may impact the company’s business, providing structured summaries and insights to internal teams.

Stakeholder Engagement Support

  • Contribute, in coordination with the VA & Policy Lead, to the mapping and maintenance of relationships with key external stakeholders (e.g. health authorities, regional decision makers, payers, scientific societies, patient advocacy groups).
  • Prepare background materials, briefing documents and presentations for external meetings.

Support to Care Pathway / Value Projects

  • Contribute to projects linked to the re-engineering of care pathways at partner healthcare institutions (HCPs, HCOs, Accounts and patient associations), under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Help collect and structure data and insights needed to design or refine Value Solutions projects.

Contribution to MIA Strategic Plan Execution

  • Support the implementation of the MIA Strategic Plan at local and regional level.
  • Provide Chapter Sales and Chapter MIA with up-to-date information on the national and regional access scenario to feed into integrated planning.

Project Coordination Support

  • Support the planning and organization of project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the follow-up of Co-creation and Value projects, helping to ensure alignment with timelines, budget, legal and quality requirements.

Data Collection & Insight Generation

  • Collect needs and inputs from MIA and other internal stakeholders for analysis activities.
  • Support the analysis of project results and available data to identify risks, opportunities and business insights for Company products in the current and future market access scenario.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Contribute to the identification of new types of projects and Value Solutions in collaboration with Sales and Access teams.
  • Support the preparation of basic scientific and economic evidence to sustain market access initiatives and product value propositions.


Specific Responsibilities

Under the instructions and supervision of the VA & Policy Lead, the Value Access & Policy Specialist will:

  1. Act as an operational point of reference for the assigned business area on market access and policy-related matters, escalating complex topics to the VA & Policy Lead.
  2. Support Sales and Access teams in the design and execution of projects consistent with the “nucleos community” and local needs, ensuring alignment with the agreed market access plan.
  3. Support the management of relationships with customers (e.g. regional authorities, hospital accounts) and internal clients (e.g. Sales, Medical, Marketing) for market access projects.
  4. Apply analytical skills to support decision-making, contributing to the analysis of reports and data from existing projects and sharing relevant insights with the MIA team.
  5. Help identify issues/risks and support their resolution/mitigation, involving senior colleagues when needed.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to contribute to Chapter MIA targets and project objectives.
  7. Support the continuous update of local/regional market access plans and the monitoring of communication and project KPIs/KDIs.


Skills & Qualifications

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge or strong interest in:
  • Pharma policies, regulations and market access dynamics
  • Pricing & Reimbursement principles
  • Health Economics / HTA concepts (coursework, thesis or initial experience is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and project support capabilities; previous experience (internship, thesis project, junior role) in project management or consulting is considered a plus.
  • Positive attitude to working in a multidisciplinary and complex environment.
  • Teamwork attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues.
  • Very good communication skills and strong analytical mindset.
  • Accuracy, reliability and good organization of work.
  • Strong orientation to internal and external stakeholders and to achieving agreed goals.
  • Proactive, curious and solution-oriented approach.
  • Good knowledge of English and local language, both spoken and written.
  • Good command of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word; knowledge of basic data analysis tools is a plus).

Education

  • Degree in Business Management, Economics, Political Science, Pharmacy, Medicine or other relevant scientific or socio-economic fields.
  • A master’s degree and/or specific training/experience in Market Access, Health Economics or Public Policy is considered a plus.
