In Milan the team is composed by 2 managing director, 1 Vice president, 2 analyst, 1 assistant, a VIE.
The VIE will be part of Société Générale CIB M&A team based in Milan and will support the team in:

  • Building complex financial models and completing valuation, mergers and other analytical exercises
  • Drafting of presentations for M&A transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Working closely with the rest of Team to create client deliverables and meet ad-hoc client requests
  • Closely collaborating with various industries, countries and other products’ colleagues during origination and execution stages
  • Perform industry and company research to support business development and on an ad-hoc basis
A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.
Please note that it is mandatory to communicate us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation at least 2 weeks before the assignment start. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Studies & experience:
  • Graduate with a Master degree with a specialization in Investment Banking
  • Prior work experience of Investment Banking at a recognized Investment Bank or advisory boutique
Language skills:
  • Mother-tongue in Italian
  • Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Operational, technical & soft skills:
  • Proficiency in MS office applications
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Technically proficient in financial modeling (DCF, Multiples, Merger model, LBO model)
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously while also participating collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic with good team/interpersonal skills
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Italy is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
