LOCATION: ON-SITE IN MICHIGAN, USA


We are looking for a:


System Hardware Engineer


responsible for the analysis, validation and integration of electronic hardware systems within complex embedded environments. The role focuses on ensuring compliance between system requirements and hardware behaviour, supporting design optimisation, validation activities and cross-functional technical alignment.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and validate electronic control units (ECUs) and hardware components against system technical requirements
  • Verify consistency between hardware behaviour and system specifications, identifying and reporting anomalies
  • Support requirement owners and design teams in defining corrective actions and technical improvements
  • Contribute to hardware integration and validation strategies
  • Participate in system-level debugging and root cause analysis
  • Develop and execute validation and test procedures (nominal and faulty conditions)
  • Support simulation activities and analysis of electronic circuits performance
  • Contribute to optimisation of hardware design in terms of performance, power consumption and reliability
  • Collaborate with software, system and validation teams to ensure full system coherence
  • Prepare technical documentation and validation reports


Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware validation, electronics engineering or embedded automotive systems
  • Solid background in Analog and Digital Electronics, Integrated Circuits, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems
  • Experience in ECU validation and testing activities
  • Experience in automotive or regulated engineering environments
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuits analysis (analog and digital)
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN)
  • Familiarity with requirement-based validation processes
  • Familiarity with validation and diagnostic tools (e.g. Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer)
  • Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, Cadence or similar)
  • Understanding of system requirement management processes
  • Ability to analyse performance parameters such as energy consumption, delay and efficiency
