Job Summary

The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking full‑time, onsite General Radiologists for its Community Radiology Group, PeeDee Division (Florence, Black River, Marion).

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services, including mammography and light interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies.
• Provide general radiology services and breast imaging (ultrasounds and MR).
• Perform light interventional procedures and assist in complex imaging studies.
• Maintain patient care standards across the Division.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree.
• ABR Board‑certified and fellowship trained.
• Experience in all aspects of general radiology.
• Experience in breast imaging (ultrasounds and MR).
• Experience in light interventional radiology services.
• Interventional radiologist experience required.
• Must obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 150 lbs unassisted, lift up to 75 lbs from floor to 36 inches, assist with lifting patients up to 300 lbs, use both hands and legs, perform repetitive motions, maintain good vision, hearing, and balance, work in confined or cramped spaces, climb stairs or ladders, and operate in a rotating shift schedule.
