Job Opportunity – Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)

On-site (Italy) | Oil & Gas Project | Possible business trips

For one of our key international clients operating in the Oil & Gas EPC sector , we are currently looking for an experienced:

Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer

This is a high-visibility role within a major project in Italy, requiring on-site presence and occasional travel depending on project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering and technical oversight of subsea umbilicals and fiber optic cable systems
• Definition of technical requirements and specifications
• Interface with EPC contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Support during engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning phases
• Technical review of documentation, drawings and vendor deliverables
• Ensure compliance with project standards and industry regulations

Requirements:

• Solid experience in Oil & Gas / Offshore / Subsea projects
• Strong knowledge of umbilicals, subsea systems or fiber optic cable engineering
• Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering
• Experience working in EPC or large-scale international projects
• Ability to work on-site in Italy with possible short-term transfers
• Strong communication skills in English (Italian is a plus)
