Chaberton Professionals , the division of Chaberton Partners specialized in the recruitment of Middle and Top Management profiles, is currently supporting the search for a Transition Managing Director with a strong business orientation and a proven track record in leading corporate transformation processes.
The selected candidate will be responsible for guiding a company through a significant business transformation, integrating it into a multinational group and driving organizational, operational, and cultural change while ensuring business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- International customer and contract management : oversee strategic client relationships, ensuring service continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Business integration : lead the transition from a family-owned business to a multinational group entity, aligning processes and fostering organizational culture.
- Target operating model : define and implement the future state of the organization in line with group guidelines.
- Onboarding and governance: support the integration of local teams and establish effective governance processes and management routines.
- Change management : drive communication and engagement across the organization, with particular focus on employee alignment and motivation.
- Organizational mapping: analyse activities and roles between the local company and the group, identifying overlaps and areas for improvement.
- People development : assess internal capabilities, identify gaps, and implement talent development and growth plans.
- Corporate alignment : ensure consistent coordination and alignment with corporate functions across the group.
- Business development : explore new markets and growth opportunities, contributing to long-term profitable expansion.
- Industrial roadmap execution : support the implementation of the industrial strategy and the launch of key New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- System implementation : oversee the deployment of core IT and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Entity and team leadership : run the business, managing the legal entity and leading the local team.
- Progress monitoring : track and report progress towards the defined target state, ensuring measurable results.
Requirements:
- Education : Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent international qualification is a strong plus.
- Languages : fluent in Italian and English; German is considered a strong plus.
- Financial acumen : solid experience in managing full P&L responsibility, cost optimization, pricing strategies, and financial performance monitoring.
- Transformation expertise : proven track record in leading complex business transformations, including post-merger integrations, change management, and organizational redesign.
- Leadership : strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, engage, and motivate teams at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic orientation : entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to translate strategy into execution.
- Operational excellence : experience in industrial/production environments and in driving efficiency programs, process harmonization, and best practice adoption.
- International exposure : successful background in international and multicultural contexts, with the ability to navigate corporate structures and influence multiple stakeholders.
- People development : demonstrated ability to assess talent, build leadership pipelines, and implement employee development and retention initiatives.
- Resilience and adaptability : capacity to operate in high-change environments, balancing business continuity with transformation imperatives.
- Governance and compliance : familiarity with corporate governance principles and legal responsibilities linked to managing a legal entity.
