TRAILS & SPORTS INSTRUCTOR


We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Trails & Sports Instructor to lead and enhance outdoor sports and trail experiences at Tenuta Toscana, nestled in the scenic landscapes of the Tuscan countryside, a prestigious real estate development.

The ideal candidate will embody professionalism and enthusiasm for outdoor sports, ensuring that every participant enjoys a safe, engaging, and memorable experience on our trails. A deep knowledge of trail running, hiking, and related sports, along with a genuine passion for nature and fitness, is essential. The instructor should be approachable and motivating, combining expertise with a friendly and encouraging attitude that creates an inclusive and inspiring atmosphere.




Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service and clear communication with members, guests, and team members at all times during trail running, hiking, and related outdoor sports activities
  • Promote positive and memorable experiences that foster a strong connection with nature and overall fitness
  • Uphold the Tenuta Toscana philosophy by anticipating guest needs, offering tailored recommendations, and providing proactive service to consistently exceed expectations
  • Represent Tenuta Toscana professionally during off-property functions and events
  • Assist with daily set-up and breakdown of trail running, hiking, and fitness activities, ensuring smooth execution
  • Collaborate with the manager in innovating and creating new amenities and experiences related to outdoor sports and nature-based fitness
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed to support overall operations
  • Ensure the safety of participants and staff during all trail running, hiking, and related sports activities, adhering to safety protocols
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory and maintenance logs for all equipment and amenities used in outdoor sports and fitness
  • Complete daily activity reports and monitor equipment usage, including AED, First Aid, and CPR requirements
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of recreational equipment for trail running, hiking, and related sports, and train others in its safe use
  • Demonstrate professionalism and discretion in all interactions, maintaining attention to detail and a warm, welcoming demeanor
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and Tenuta Toscana’s values by fostering an environment of respect, integrity, and teamwork
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding members’ preferences, team matters, and proprietary information to ensure privacy at all times



Requirements

  • Valid Environmental Hiking Guide certification (Patentino per Guida Ambientalista Escursionistica) is mandatory
  • At least 3 years of experience in outdoor sports instruction or guiding, preferably within a luxury or high-end hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of trail running, hiking, mountain biking, and related outdoor sports, with a passion for nature and fitness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage participants in a friendly, motivating, and professional manner
  • Fluent in English and Italian. A third language would represent an advantage
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

This research is addressed to candidates of both genders with reference to Italian Law 903/77 and Law 125/91.

This position is based in Tuscany. Availability of staff accommodation upon request. Candidates should have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
