In this role you will enable reliable trade finance delivery for clients, focusing on letters of credit and bank guarantees within Wholesale Banking Operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate processing, compliance, and timely settlements, while serving as a backup for core WB Ops activities. The position supports efficiency improvements and controls in trade finance workflows. This is an international, hybrid Milan role with opportunities to grow in a digital, customer-centric bank.

• Receipt, advising and amendment of export documentary credits and input in the system


• Handling bank credit lines for confirmed letters of credit


• End-to-end processing including document checks, discrepancy resolution, and compliance checks


• Issuing and amendment of import letters of credit and input in the system


• Issuing and amendments/renewals of domestic and cross-border guarantees (drafting, credit line verification, client contact, commissions)


• Verification of credit line availability


• Collecting import/export bills


• Screening and checks for compliance purposes and related reports


• Booking into IFS/IRM

• Back up for WB Ops activities (approvals in IFS booking system)

Responsibilities

• Experience of at least 10 years in the role


• Ability to manage critical situations through good decision-making skills


• Master’s degree in economics


• Advanced knowledge of the English language


• Knowledge of UCP.600; ISBP Publication No. 745


• Knowledge of SWIFT Platform and related message types


• Advanced level in Excel, Outlook
