Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Trainee Patent Attorney (Tirocinante mandatario brevetti) located in the Greater Rome Metropolitan Area. The individual in this role will assist in preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patent searches, and analyzing technical and legal information. Day-to-day tasks may also include liaising with clients to understand their intellectual property needs, drafting technical documents, and supporting the firm's attorneys during patent litigation or infringement assessments. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in intellectual property law and technical legal proceedings.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in engineering or scientific disciplines relevant to patents
• Understanding of Intellectual Property laws, patent principles, and the patent application process
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Proficient in drafting technical and legal documents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Proficiency in using word processing, data management, and patent-search tools
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Life Sciences;
  legal or intellectual property training is an advantage
• Willingness to work and thrive in an on-site professional environment
