Position
Define the plant configuration and the related thermal balance in order to optimize the plant performance based on the company portfolio and customer requirements and provide the related guarantees in collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers involved in the project.
Main activities
- Defines the plant configuration and detailed solutions with the support of the process and functional engineering teams, starting from the offer specifications, the company product portfolio and based on best available practices.
- Calculates the thermal balances (HBL) and thermodynamic performance of the plant and main components.
- Drafts the guarantee chapter for the offers in which they are involved, based on the tender requirements and corporate strategy, collecting the necessary information from internal engineering teams (plant and machinery) and suppliers.
- Reviews the offer-phase thermal balances in light of feedback received from suppliers and machinery engineering, implementing the required adjustments.
- Defines the collection of thermal balances (HBL) under various operating conditions.
- Supports the development of correction curves and the execution of integrated functional and guarantee tests for the plant.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Energy or Chemical Engineering
- Recent graduate or with 2/3 years of engineering experience
- Basic knowledge of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators
- Team-oriented mindset with openness, strong motivation to learn, consistency and commitment, and ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of Ebsilon and/or Gate Cycle calculation tools is considered a plus
- Availability for business travel in Italy and abroad
- Fluent spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus
