Experteer Overview
In this role, you will apply high‑fidelity 3D CFD/kinetics with 1D system‑level modelling to optimize Aftertreatment architectures. You will perform chemical kinetics and conjugate heat transfer analyses to boost performance and durability of critical components, supporting environmentally responsible product development. You will develop workflows for current and future engine technologies and collaborate across teams to drive data‑informed decisions. This role offers hands‑on modelling that shapes platform engineering and problem resolution in a cross‑functional setting. Retribuzione / Benefits
Combine 3D CFD/kinetics with 1D system‑level modelling to assess Aftertreatment architectures Perform chemical kinetics modelling and conjugate heat transfer analyses to improve performance and durability Evaluate system and component performance using thermal‑fluid and chemical kinetics insights to guide technical decisions Develop and apply 3D CFD/kinetics models and workflows for both compression ignition and spark ignition engines Investigate thermal‑fluid issues, identify root causes, and document corrective actions Support open‑loop and closed‑loop Aftertreatment simulation requirements within platform engineering programmes Strengthen analysis‑led product development by improving modelling, simulation, testing, and data‑analysis processes Collaborate with engineers, leaders, teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver actionable recommendations Responsabilità
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM field (required) 2+ years academic or professional experience in Aftertreatment modelling (preferred) Experience with diesel combustion system architecture analysis (strongly preferred) Proficiency with modelling/simulation tools (e.g., CONVERGE, Chemkin, GT‑Suite, Fluent, Boost, GT‑XChem, Exothermia) Strong data analysis and visualization skills (MATLAB, Python, Tecplot, Ensight, Paraview) Knowledge of technical documentation and product development processes Internship/co‑op/early‑career experience in relevant engineering disciplines (preferred)
