Job Description

You will join the engineering team as a Test Rigs Design & Manufacturing Control and System Integration specialist. Your role involves designing, constructing, and validating aeronautical actuation and environmental conditioning test rig systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electronics and software, with skills in analog signal conditioning, power circuitry design, and packaging using mathematical models and specific software tools. Project management skills are also valued.

Your contribution will bring valuable expertise through a rigorous analytical approach and strong engineering practices. As part of the Test Rig Engineering and System Integration group, you will significantly contribute to the design evolution and improvement of our products, supporting the renewal of existing technologies. Testing and system integration are essential in aeronautics, and our department strives for excellence.

You will work in an inclusive, dynamic environment, collaborating with various engineering functions throughout different project phases. Interaction with an international, multicultural engineering community is expected. Travel for installation, commissioning, and customer support may be required.

Proven competence in related engineering disciplines is necessary, including industrial automation, sensors, transducers, power inverter design, HW/SW integration, systems architecture, and mechatronics. High-quality technical output, timely delivery, a thorough approach, and an open mindset are key aspects of this role.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Validate and decompose requirements from technical specifications.
  • Build or adapt digital simulation models of components and systems, conduct performance and trade-off analyses.
  • Analyze simulation results for compliance and improvements.
  • Design reliable, repeatable test architectures and analysis environments.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings, contributing high-quality technical content for project decisions.

Job Requirements

Required skills include a Master's degree in electronic engineering with competence in mechatronics and control systems, expert-level knowledge of electrical CAD, at least 8 years of industry experience, knowledge of EMI shielding, signal conditioning, H-bridge drivers, proficiency with NI LabVIEW, understanding of automation standards, and fluency in Italian and English. Willingness to travel is also required.

Desirable skills include familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink, an agile approach to technical challenges, and strong documentation skills.
