Grow sales in the defined territory by uncovering potential, initiating and closing sales opportunities and understanding the needs and requirements of customers to maximize account revenues. Promote Consumables and IOL products. Collaborate with other team members in developing new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Use judgment in applying professional expertise as an individual contributor.
- Act as the single point of contact to customers for Consumables and IOL products and services; play a crucial role to increase BVI’s footprint.
- Identify ophthalmic solutions and business opportunities, create an account and KOLs strategy, and coordinate and control the complete sales cycle from lead generation to after‑sale support; select solutions that best suit customers’ needs and negotiate contracts in compliance with company policies and current regulations.
- Organize and provide product demonstrations to new and existing customers, and help organize and attend conferences, workshops and training events.
- Achieve the agreed standards, expectations and performance; proactively ask for support, help, guidance and resources when required.
- Take ownership of local customer complaints and questions, ensuring they are handled quickly and professionally; keep up‑to‑date with competitor activities and communicate relevant information to managers and colleagues, feeding it back via reporting systems.
- Attend national and international sales meetings as required; develop and maintain a reliable network of key opinion leaders and product champions; maintain strong product knowledge to engage in professional dialogue with specified customer groups.

- Comply with Art. 7 MDR 2017/745 (claims related to products).
- Report promptly any information related to potential safety issues of the products commercialized by the company.
Qualification
- Preferably educated to degree level—scientific education or commercial background with extensive sales and technical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the Sales Department of companies operating in the Healthcare field is mandatory (desirable Ophthalmology knowledge and network).
- Operating Theatre experience with Surgeons and Theatre Sisters.
- Business/healthcare/hospital flows knowledge; strong experience managing tenders and commercial negotiations with both public and private clients.
- Sales experience managing different sales channels.
- Sales experience in value‑added selling of products and solutions.
- Teamwork player, problem‑solving approach, entrepreneurial, well‑organized, positive mindset, proactive, result‑orientation.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, CRM and quotation tools management.
- Italian mother language and good knowledge of commercial and technical English.
- Full driving licence and a flexible approach to travel and working hours.
- Physical residence in Lombardy.
