As a Territory Account Manager at Illumina, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our industry‑leading genomics technologies across key clinical and research accounts in Tuscany. You will partner with cross‑functional teams in sales, marketing, and technical disciplines to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and accelerate the power of next‑generation sequencing (NGS) across healthcare and scientific discovery.

A Life Science degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Territory & Account Leadership
- Develop and execute a territory‑specific and account‑specific sales plan.
- Adjust strategies in line with evolving company priorities and customer needs.
- Engage in accurate forecasting and manage a robust, healthy sales pipeline.
- Proactively utilize and maintain CRM data to ensure accurate business insights.
Commercial Excellence & Growth
- Successfully prospect, generate, and convert new customer leads.
- Manage existing accounts while continuously expanding customer reach and loyalty.
- Navigate and close multi‑tiered sales cycles across capital equipment, consumables, and services.
- Match customer business objectives with Illumina capabilities to deliver mutual value.
- Demonstrate a win‑win approach in complex negotiations.
Customer Engagement & Technical Expertise
- Deliver compelling scientific and technical seminars and presentations on Illumina’s solutions.
- Demonstrate deep scientific understanding to facilitate a consultative sales process.
- Provide expert portfolio positioning and guidance to customers at various organizational levels.
- Foster strong relationships by understanding emerging needs, market trends, and new opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Continuous Learning
- Collaborate effectively across Illumina teams globally to support customer success.
- Engage proactively in continuous learning around new applications, technologies, and market growth areas.
- Handle interpersonal challenges with professionalism, balancing individual and team focus on customer outcomes.
