The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of Security Engineers, Network Engineers, and Technicians, contributing to projects focused on the engineering of Ground Segments for satellite communication systems. Key activities include design, integration, validation, and lifecycle support of Network, Systems, and Cybersecurity architectures, as well as specialist troubleshooting during maintenance phases.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze and consolidate requirements related to the Cybersecurity architecture of satellite Ground Segments
• Contribute to the design, implementation, deployment, and testing of security architectures
• Define security requirements, processes, configurations, and operational procedures
• Deploy and validate tools supporting security implementation, monitoring, and control
• Assess critical Ground Segment assets to identify vulnerabilities and exposure to cyber threats
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including presentations, test procedures, analysis reports, and process documentation

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical/scientific field
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, networking, or ICT environments
• Solid understanding of information security management standards and industry best practices
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Good knowledge of data communication systems (wired, satellite, and radio/mobile networks)
• Experience with virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V)
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and container‑based environments
• Understanding of cyber‑attack techniques and related countermeasures within a security engineering framework
• Knowledge of international security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, STIG, GDPR)
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM platforms, log management and analysis tools, endpoint protection, forensic tools, and network/security management systems
• English language proficiency: minimum B2 level

Nice to Have

• Experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN, NAC, and Web Application Firewalls
• Background in deploying and managing security solutions within large, distributed ICT environments
• Previous experience in cybersecurity roles within security service providers, system integrators, vendors, or telecommunications companies

NB - Availability for the following activities is required

• Willingness to work on defense and military projects
• Willingness to undergo a Security Clearance process
• Flexibility to travel for meetings and on‑site activities (Italy and abroad)
• Availability for frequent business trips to Saudi Arabia in support of a specific long‑term project
