About the department:

The After Sales department within BYD Italy is responsible for all Service & Maintenance topics concerning our full electric buses & trucks. This includes building a service network across Europe, providing technical support to customers and service providers, supporting sales through Life Cycle Cost calculations, developing the Spare Parts business, and providing training. The main goal of the department is to enhance Customer Satisfaction & loyalty.

One key task is to provide technical service to our service providers and customers. For the Technical & Warranty team, we are seeking a Technical Support Engineer for Passenger Cars.

About the role:

The Technical Support Engineer for Passenger Cars is responsible for delivering excellent service to maximize customer satisfaction. This involves building regional technical capabilities and ensuring efficient technical operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing regional technical support in Italy via service portal, remote diagnostics, and onsite support.
• Organizing visits, meetings, workshops, and activities with regional partners and headquarters to improve technical skills.
• Conducting onsite technical training for new product launches and ongoing training programs.
• Gathering and reporting information on faults and promoting quick solutions.
• Developing technical notices and documenting typical repair cases.
• Managing regional events, providing onsite support, and conducting technical research.
• Responding promptly to special events and other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, with over 2 years of relevant experience. Fluent in Italian and English; other European languages are a plus.
• Strong cross-cultural communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• NEV technical background is preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and to China.
