Technical Specialist / Maintenance Engineer / Hands on Technical PM

Location: Trescore Balneario (BG), Italy

Full time: 5 days per week

Hybrid: 50% remote

Start: Early 2026

Contract: 6 months with ongoing extensions until 2027

Languages: Italian (native/excellent), English (good)

Role Overview:

Technical Specialist responsible for maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of IoT/embedded products. Acts as the first R&D interface for field issues, drives root-cause analysis (RCA), and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams (HW, FW, Cloud, App) with the ability to understand and discuss Linux/Java/Angular environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance for embedded Linux products and legacy MCU-based devices.
  • Handle field reports, own technical investigations, and contribute to RCA.
  • Coordinate with R&D teams across Embedded Linux, Hardware, Firmware, Cloud (backend & frontend), and Mobile App.
  • Track and report progress of maintenance and bug-fix activities.
  • Collaborate with testing, technical support, product quality, and the Mobility Business Unit.
  • Monitor system/product performance and propose continuous improvement actions.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and process optimization for maintenance workflows.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with embedded Linux and MCU systems .
  • Ability to understand and discuss Linux/Java/Angular environments with different business areas.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols; experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Familiarity with OCPP and IoT cloud management (monitoring, logging, configuration).
  • Understanding of integrated HW–SW–Cloud–Mobile architectures.
  • Basic validation, testing, and release-process knowledge.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and RCA capability.

  • Ability to lead technical activities and operate autonomously.
  • Analytical mindset, prioritization, and results orientation.
  • Comfortable working in fast-evolving, innovative environments.

Background & Education

  • Degree in Electronic, Computer, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–5+ years in industrial environments with electronic or IoT products.
  • Experience in eMobility, automation, or embedded systems is a plus.
