Together, we can shape the future.Job Description:Technical Sales Manager - Tiles & EngobesAre you looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise, customer interaction and real business impact in the ceramic tile industry?At Sibelco, you will become a key technical reference for tile, engobe and glaze manufacturers, helping customers improve their products and production processes through our industrial mineral solutions. You will work on a wide variety of tile manufacturers, support trials directly on their sites, and collaborate with internal teams to identify solutions and business growth opportunities.As Technical Sales Tiles & Engobes, you will support companies producing tiles, engobes and glazes, working closely with production and technical teams to define quality and product specifications, insuring strong product performance.Location & TravelThis role is based in Maranello, Italy, with a hybrid setup:Expected presence in the Maranello lab/office: around 2 days per weekRemaining time split between customer visits, international travel and home officeCustomers are located across Italy, Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Poland and other regions. The role involves frequent travel, approximately 8–10 days per month, including time spent on customer sites during trials and implementation phases.We are looking for someone who is already based near Maranello or willing to relocate. Candidates from other European Union countries will also be considered, provided they are open to relocating and working from Italy.Fluency in English is required.Your Impact In this RoleAs Technical Sales Tiles & Engobes, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Customer Complaint ManagementLead investigations and root cause analysisImplement corrective actions and follow up on executionCommunicate findings and solutions to customersQuality & Product PerformanceMonitor product and plant quality trendsIdentify deviations and support resolution with OperationsPrepare and share quality reports with internal teams and customersCustomer Relationship ManagementBuild strong relationships with customer technical and production teamsUnderstand customer needs and production processesSupport product trials and gather feedbackTechnical Support & Continuous ImprovementSupport customers and plants in problem solvingContribute to continuous improvement initiativesEnsure alignment on product specificationsMarket IntelligenceMonitor market trends and competitor productsSupport leadership with insights to drive business decisionsWhat You Bring to the TableBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related fieldExperience in a technical customer-facing role such as technical sales, technical support, production, process, or product quality within ceramics, tiles, industrial minerals or similar industriesStrong understanding of product performance, quality and problem-solving methodologiesAbility to analyze customer issues and support root cause analysisStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Technical & Innovation, Supply Chain and customersAnalytical mindset with a practical, solution-oriented approachFluency in English is required; additional languages are a plusAbout the RoleYou will be part of a solid international technical sales team supporting customers across multiple ceramic markets.This role offers a unique combination of technical depth and commercial exposure:Acting as a trusted technical advisor to customersSupporting product trials and implementation on siteContributing to new business opportunities and growth projectsWorking across functions in an international matrix organizationYou will also collaborate closely with internal teams across Sales, Operations, Technical & Innovation and Supply Chain, acting as a key link between Sibelco’s products and customer needs.Employee Type:PermanentWhy Join Us?Sibelco is more than a workplace—it’s a community that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration.
