Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the Electronics Business team, reporting to the Regional E&I Customer Front Office. This position is based at our office in Turin, or France.
As the TPM at Marelli, you will be responsible for the Engineering Development Teams (except SW Area if there is an SPM appointed) for a Product. The TPM leads and coordinates the engineering activities of the assigned project(s) based on the Product, ensuring the respect of the Delivery, Quality and Costs targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage projects with top‑down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Integrate Project Master Time Plan (defined by CPM) that respects customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
- Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. Coordinate and update the estimation of Engineering Project effort. Support the CPM in aligning budget and resources needs and managing the specific Product development risks.
- Ensure the delivery of prototypes to the Development Teams and to the Customer.
- Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Check and update reuse of standard components and solutions availability.
- Check and coordinate Product Design Review activities involving multidisciplinary team and area to guarantee feasibility, FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), design, performance, quality and delivery.
- Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
- Manage Change Request as far as Product (Engineering perimeter) is concerned in terms of technical, cost and scheduling impact.
- Agree with Product Evaluation department about the verification and validation activities, ensuring the Product availability.
- Manage Direct Cost (Engineering BOM) and Variants Configuration (BOM), deliver official documentation of the Product in ePIM/GBOM.
- Oversee acquisition of resources and materials as needed for project development.
- Responsible for proper deployment of Standard Development Process and Continuous Improvement activities in the Project (ASPICE, Functional Safety concept, Design review, Design review, Cybersecurity, Standard Material catalogue, etc.).
Qualifications
- Engineering or Economic Degree.
- 3/5 years of experience in technical project management within Automotive field.
