The WHS Data team is hiring a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our cross-functional organization. The Data team encompasses both Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Engineering (DE) functions and delivers comprehensive reporting solutions to enable the WHS Organization to drive workplace safety excellence and ensure regulatory compliance worldwide. This TPM will lead cross-organizational data workstreams and partner with product, data engineering, and software development teams to drive data strategy implementation and execution.

The role requires collaboration with data engineering and business intelligence teams to deliver optimal solutions through efficient resource allocation and technology utilization. The TPM will create compelling business cases for project prioritization and investment decisions, proactively assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, navigate tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional data projects from inception to completion across multiple engineering teams, delivering high-quality, efficient, secure, testable, and maintainable solutions with minimal defects
  • Own project status communication by providing clear, concise summaries to leadership and management, and address detailed questions about progress and outcomes
  • Proactively assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, navigate tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints
  • Transform raw ideas and complex technical concepts into clear, consistent, and accurate technical documentation and direction
  • Improve team processes, metrics, and operational efficiencies to unblock delivery, accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and enhance quality
  • Develop compelling business cases for project prioritization and investment decisions to pursue data roadmap development
  • Partner with data engineering and business intelligence managers to secure resources, scope engineering efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and drive delivery to meet program goals and deadlines

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk/critical path management
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience developing and delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams

Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Salary range: 127,100.00 – 172,000.00 USD annually
