Technical Product Developer – Protections

Position

We are currently looking for a skilled Technical Product Developer – Protections to join our Protections Department, taking on a pivotal role in our Product Development process.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, experienced, and technical Product Developer to work across several product categories, building on your skills and experience within a leading motorsports brand.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for managing the development process of protectors end-to-end, from design to production kick-off phase, making sure to keep the process on schedule.
• Working cross-functionally, you will select new materials with the Designers, coordinating and maintaining material specifications so that they meet any needed both quality and performance standards.
• Liaising closely with our suppliers, you will be communicating with them with regards to garment amendments as well as on 3D CAD modifications.
• You will also be in charge of product costing and related tooling costing through technical documentation such as BOMs, making sure not to exceed from the set target.
• You will maintain the Tech Chart and related technical information up to date.
• You will ensure that garment fit as well as performance standards are respected, managing defect elimination during the prototyping phase and notifying any needed changes to our suppliers.
• Working closely with our Testing Team, you will ensure that our products exceed set quality requirements.
• You will also manage 3D CAD files, so to carry out feasibility analysis using either Catia and / or Rhinoceros.
• You will also be responsible for Production kick-off.

Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in technical product development within the Sporting Goods industry.
• Solid knowledge and previous working experience on CE certified safety devices.
• Strong knowledge of technical sportswear and related technical materials such as plastics, thermoplastics, and composites.
• Knowledge of MS Office package.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Suite, particularly of Illustrator.
• Good knowledge of CAD software such as Catia and / or Rhinoceros.
• Fluency in English.
• Availability to travel.
• Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills, as well as a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills will complete the profile.
