What you will do. A glimpse in your role:
The Pre-Sales Technical Manager is responsible for supporting gateway and integration projects across Europe. This role requires strong expertise in the payments industry, including deep knowledge of card payment systems, card scheme standards, POS systems, and hotel PMS applications.
You will act as a key technical partner to client-facing teams such as Sales, Account Management, and Partnerships, providing technical guidance, supporting new business opportunities, and ensuring successful integrations for existing clients. You will also lead and coordinate the RFI/RFP process in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Sales Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and other relevant departments.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the payments and financial technology industry and effectively communicate the Global Blue technology stack and value proposition
- Present solution-based sales proposals to large audiences, including internal training sessions and client/partner meetings
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on the Global Blue platform and solutions
- Review incoming technical requests and provide responses to Sales, Account Management, and other client-facing teams
- Lead pre-sales and technical integration calls across hotel and retail POS, e-commerce, and mobile integrations, including preparation, research, and documentation (meeting minutes)
- Attend conferences, presentations, and other client-facing meetings as required
- Act as partner and merchant advocate during Product Planning Meetings by organizing and documenting product requests
- Provide technical input into solution design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and scheme mandates
- Contribute to RFI and RFP responses
- Liaise with other business units when necessary

Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if:
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
- You have solid experience with payment solutions, including acquirer, issuer, and PSP systems, industry protocols, and POS integrations in hotel and retail sectors
- You are able to act as a technical consultant to Product teams on platform design and customization
- You ensure solutions are properly specified and documented according to agreed deliverables and processes
- You are fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong written communication skills
- Additional fluency in French or Arabic will be considered a plus
