Overview

Department: Consumer and Customer Platform and Digital Factory, Digital & Technology Platform Services.

Role: Tech Lead – SAP Commerce Cloud. Responsible for overseeing all development activities within the product lifecycle, providing technical leadership and mentorship. Designs and implements high-quality solutions aligned with SAP Commerce and Mirakl best practices, particularly for complex, cross-system requirements. Collaborates with the Solution Architect on performance improvement initiatives and the architecture of new functionalities. Works with the DevOps team, Product Manager, and Solution Manager to define business specifications, break them into actionable backlog items, and estimate sequencing and effort through story points. Ensures automation of manual tasks related to code and data build/deployment processes to support CI/CD frameworks.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and Inspire:
    • Demonstrate strong leadership for the Development Process.
    • Lead internal and external developers toward synchronized and continuous development and release processes.
    • Act as a role model, strive to add value, and inspire stakeholders to deliver beyond objectives (agility & speed).
    • Support the development team in understanding the complexity and sequences of backlog items.
    • Create a positive working environment with a can-do attitude.
    • Contribute to establishing a performance- and results-oriented culture.
    • Demonstrate ongoing learning and applied technical/functional competence.
    • Proficiency in SCRUM/Agile project methodologies.
  • Create Partnership for Growth:
    • Collaborate with the DevOps team to maintain trust and a supportive environment.
    • Deliver sustainable results with high code quality, minimal bugs, good documentation, and smooth handover to support (vendor collaboration).
    • Share knowledge across the team and with 3rd party vendors to ensure strong understanding of CCH business processes and solutions.
    • Work closely with Product Managers and Solution Architect to achieve transparency on solution complexity and Sprint delivery sequencing.
  • Innovate for Growth:
    • Drive innovation and improvements to DevOps delivery processes.
    • Stay aware of new technologies and development methodologies in DevOps.
    • Contribute to continuous improvements in the solution implementation approach.
    • Apply innovative approaches to difficult tasks with a positive attitude.
    • Apply different development delivery approaches (agile & traditional) as appropriate (e.g., Design Thinking, User Stories, SCRUM, SAFe).
  • Manage with Excellence:
    • Identify dependencies between initiatives within the Commercial area.
    • Act as a Senior Developer on the most complex tasks and lead by example.
    • Gather input from vendors to improve the overall delivery process toward continuous delivery.
    • Identify risks and manage mitigation actions (time, resources, interdependencies).
    • Agree action plans to capture opportunities and remove blockers.
    • Ensure compliance with ICF, ITGC, and internal policies.
  • Deliver Sustainability Growth:
    • Deliver Sprints on time and in scope per the DevOps process.
    • Adjust Test Automation processes as required with changes.
    • Contribute to the activation of successful support processes.
    • Responsible for Release & Package scope alignment with Product Manager, Product Owner, and Solution Architect.
    • Monitor development service performance.
    • Degree: University Degree in a relevant area.
    • Experience: 7+ years in IT development across multiple technology domains.
    • Leadership: At least 1 year of experience leading development teams.
    • Technical skills: Front and backend open web technologies including designing, building and testing Java applications; SAP Commerce Cloud (SAP Hybris); Spring framework, JSP, JSTL and related J2EE technologies; (Optional) Mirakl integrations.
    • Strong OOP, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns; strong quality-focused practices including testing and deployment.
    • Ability to analyze and critically assess problems; ability to see the big picture while paying attention to detail.
    • FMCG Commercial business process awareness is advantageous.
    • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and strong communication/influencing skills.
