Technical Lead - Master Data Management Platforms

Locations: Egypt (Cairo) • Greece (Athens) • Bulgaria (Sofia). Department: Data, Insights & AI Platform. Hybrid

Role

Technical Lead - SAP MDG/ABAP specialized role to join Coca-Cola Hellenic Digital & Technology Platform Services (DTPS) as part of the Data Management Platforms team. The successful candidate will lead a technical team and design and develop SAP MDG/ABAP-based solutions that align with the organization\'s Data Governance needs. The Technical Lead will collaborate with Product Configuration Leads, MDM Product Managers, delivery managers/scrum masters, and architects to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, efficient, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Accountability
    • Lead and grow the team of engineers
    • Design reviews and architecture team support
    • Establish and maintain quality standards
    • Code review and clean code enforcement
    • Teamwork planning and work monitoring
  • Technical Development
    • Develop, modify, and enhance standard and custom SAP solutions within SAP MDG using ABAP (workflows, interfaces, conversions, reports, enhancements, and forms - RICEF)
    • Develop SAP Fiori/UI applications and OData services
    • Write efficient, well-documented code that follows SAP MDG and Data Governance best practices
    • Collaborate with product configuration leads/functional consultants to translate requirements into technical specifications and integrate with existing SAP modules
  • Problem Solving & Debugging
    • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within SAP MDG and integrated systems
    • Provide timely support to resolve user-reported issues and implement enhancements
  • Documentation & Testing
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for developments
    • Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope
    • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
    • Stay updated with latest MDG technologies, including SAP MDG, S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, SAP Fiori
    • Proactively suggest improvements to SAP solutions for performance and usability
  • Project Management Support
    • Contribute to project planning with estimates of development effort and timelines
    • Assist in preparing technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports

Qualifications

  • University Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Economics
  • 2+ years of experience as Technical Lead
  • 5+ years of IT experience in SAP development (S/4HANA, MDG, Fiori, ABAP, Workflow, BRF+ Rules, BADI/OO ABAP)
  • Proven knowledge in writing, debugging, and optimizing ABAP code
  • Expertise in forms (Adobe, Smart Forms, SAPscript)
  • Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP and REST)
  • Ability to configure SAP Master Data objects in SAP MDG & S/4
  • Experience configuring and extending MDG workflows to automate data validation, approvals, and change management
  • Experience defining replication models (inbound/outbound) and BADI usage for SOA services
  • Excellent knowledge of functional SAP modules (e.g., SD/MM/HR/FI/CO) from the master data perspective
  • Experience with SAP Change and Release Management (ChaRM) is a plus
  • Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) is a plus
  • Experience with agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum) is beneficial
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, SNOW is a plus
  • Strong quality ethics and deployment practices
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and verbal English
