Technical Assistant - Engineering Plastics

Resina Partners · Pescara, Italia ·

Descrizione dell'offerta

Resina Partners is supporting a leading Italian engineering plastics compounder in the search for a Technical Assistant to strengthen their customer support, troubleshooting, and application engineering activities.

The company:

A compact, agile plant specialising in engineering plastics and custom compounds for injection moulding applications.

Built on strong technical know-how and tight collaboration between production, QC, and technical management, the company is entering a phase where customer support needs to scale.

The role:

A hybrid position combining technical service, process troubleshooting, and basic formulation adjustment: ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving issues, and acting as a bridge between factory and customers.

You will support clients during injection moulding (and occasionally extrusion), diagnose problems, guide parameter optimisation, and contribute to product customisation when needed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and support an existing customer portfolio through on-site visits, troubleshooting, and after-sales follow-up
  • Provide technical assistance to customers for injection moulding processes
  • Diagnose issues related to materials, parameters, machine setup or process conditions
  • Support pre-sales activities (material tests, trials, sampling, customer evaluations) and provide post-sales assistance (corrective actions, technical reports, etc.)
  • Collaborate with R&D and production to develop tailored solutions or adjust base formulations (fibreglass, fillers, additive levels, process parameters)
  • Act as the interface between production, laboratory teams, and customers
  • Participate in fairs, technical events, and regular client visits (mostly Italy; some occasional international travel involved)

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Solid knowledge of polymer materials and injection moulding (extrusion is a plus)
  • Field experience supporting customers (not laboratory roles only)
  • Confidence adjusting formulations and understanding key process variables
  • Fluent Italian and good command of English

Preferred backgrounds:

  • Engineering plastics compounders
  • Injection moulders
  • Plastics distributors with technical service teams

Why apply

  • Join a technically strong, Italian compounding plant, with direct access to decision-makers
  • Hybrid, hands-on role without corporate bureaucracy
  • Competitive package: €45–60k based on seniority + company car + tailored bonus

Location & presence:

Base: Northern Italy

Presence expectations: 2-3 days/week
