Technical Application Engineer – Resistors (EMEA) - Hybid or Remote - €100k - €105k
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Application Engineer – Resistors to act as the technical expert for our resistor product portfolio across the EMEA region.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and product management—supporting customers, enabling new business opportunities, and driving successful product development and adoption.
You’ll work closely with Product Line Management, Field Application Engineers (FAEs), and customers to deliver high-value technical solutions throughout the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical support for FAEs, sales teams, and customers across EMEA
- Review customer specifications and recommend optimal resistor solutions
- Support customer visits and key design opportunities alongside sales teams
- Act as a technical liaison for new product development from concept through to market release
- New Product Introductions (NPI)
- Product Change Notifications (PCN)
- Product Obsolescence Memos (POM)
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (datasheets, reports, certifications, etc.)
- Contribute to marketing materials, training content, and product positioning
- Deliver technical training to internal teams and distribution partners
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service
Experience & Background
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in the electronic components industry
- Background in passive components preferred (resistors highly desirable)
- Exposure to semiconductors or product management is a plus
- Strong technical understanding of electronic component applications
- Knowledge of industry standards (UL, IEC, TUV, AEC-Q, etc.)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence customer decisions through technical insight
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities
- Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
