Tech Architect Data & AI

Responsibilities

Guide the end‑to‑end delivery of Data and Analytics solutions, ensuring quality and coherent architectural choices.

Translate architectural decisions into HLD/LLD, technical backlog and acceptance criteria.

Design and release Lakehouse/Analytics solutions on Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric, hands‑on on Spark, pipelines, semantic models and performance tuning.

Govern solutions in production: catalog, lineage, data quality (Purview + PowerBI) and observability (CI/CD, runbooks).

Own release readiness: checklist, cutover plan and go/no‑go with PM and Delivery Lead.

Manage post‑go‑live stabilization: incident handling, troubleshooting and remediation to reduce downtime and rework.

Collaborate with Solution Architects to align design, implementation trade‑offs and risk management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data/Analytics projects (cloud and/or hybrid), covering delivery to production.
• Hands‑on on Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, lakehouse patterns.
• Strong Power BI skills: semantic model, DAX, performance, security (RLS), lifecycle & publishing.
• Experience in data governance with Purview or equivalent: catalog, lineage, policy, data quality/compliance.
• Hands‑on on SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark (Scala gradito), performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Modern delivery practices: Git, DataOps/CI/CD, dev/test/prod environments, automation, observability, cloud consumption cost control.
• Post‑go‑live management: incident handling, root‑cause analysis and remediation with runbooks/monitoring.
• Ownership of release readiness (cutover, checklist, go/no‑go) and support of migration/rollout exercises.
• Excellent communicator, capable of facilitating technical decisions with IT and business stakeholders.
• Proactive in promoting standards, best practices and reuse (templates, accelerators, reference implementations).
• Innovative mindset, results orientation, focus on performance, security, governance and time‑to‑value.

Growth Path

Progressive path from Tech Architect to Solution Architect, with on‑the‑job mentorship, architectural workshops, governance, certification and transition to System Integration Solution Architect.
