For our plant based in Mirandola, we are looking for an experienced and strategic

Team Leader Supplier Quality Management

to drive supplier quality excellence across our Center of Excellence.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing supplier quality strategies, leading a team of Supplier Quality Managers, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements throughout the supplier lifecycle.

You will work closely with different CoE Plants Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs teams and external suppliers to strengthen supplier quality performance, reduce risks, and support business growth through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Qualification, Audits & Quality Agreements

Develop and implement supplier qualification strategies.

Lead supplier qualification and material qualification activities. Establish and oversee supplier audit programs to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Develop, negotiate, and maintain Quality Assurance Agreements (QAA/QA) with suppliers.

Define and govern supplier quality requirements, specifications, and control plans. Ensure proper supplier and material master data management within ERP systems.

Supplier Performance & Risk Management

Define and monitor supplier performance KPIs.

Lead supplier complaint management and escalation processes.

Drive supplier-related change management activities.

Ensure effective risk, ESG, and compliance monitoring across the supplier base.

Support the recovery of supplier-caused costs of non-quality.

Supplier Development & Quality Planning

Develop supplier improvement and supplier development programs; establish and govern CAPA activities.

Drive strategic quality planning initiatives to optimize inspection efforts.

Manage supplier escalations and relationships at management level.

Category Management

Define strategic quality requirements for suppliers and categories.

Support the selection, qualification, and development of strategic suppliers.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure supplier quality objectives align with business needs.

Organizational Development & Projects

Build, lead, and continuously develop the Supplier Quality Management organization.

Harmonize processes, methodologies, and tools across the organization.

Drive digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead global and divisional projects related to supplier quality and operational excellence.

Leadership Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Managers based in the different CoE Plants.

Set objectives, monitor performance, and support employee development.

Foster a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and quality management standards.

Qualifications Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical qualification

Experience

Extensive professional experience in Supplier Quality Management or Quality Management within a regulated industry.

Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and medical device quality requirements.

Proven experience leading teams and managing cross-functional and international projects.

Experience in supplier audits, supplier development, and quality-related negotiations.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of quality management methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, CAPA, and process validation.

Experience with SAP ERP systems and supplier management tools.

Familiarity with quality, compliance, ESG, and risk management platforms.

Fluency in English; German language is a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Strategic thinking with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Ability to manage complex quality challenges and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Compensation details: Salary range: € 55.000 - € 70.000 Gross Annual Salary (RAL) + MBO.

The aforementioned range represents the estimated remuneration for the position.

The final gross annual salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience and skills, in compliance with applicable European regulations on pay transparency and pay equity.
