ROLE SUMMARY St. Louis School Caviglia is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the School.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students in the classroom, assist with learning activities and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and contributing to the life of a busy international school.
About the School St. Louis School Caviglia is part of the St. Louis School group in Milan and a member of the Inspired Education Group. The school provides a high‑quality international education within a supportive, purposeful and academically ambitious environment.
Students follow the English National Curriculum through Key Stage 3, preparing them for progression to IGCSE and ultimately the IB Diploma Programme within the St. Louis School group. Our school community values respect, collaboration and high academic expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
Assist students individually or in small groups to support learning and understanding
Help prepare teaching materials and classroom resources
Support classroom organisation and behaviour management
Provide additional support to students who require extra guidance
Assist with supervision during school activities, breaks or excursions
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, patient and supportive approach
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Excellent organisational skills
Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
Experience within an international or English curriculum school
Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
