JOB DESCRIPTION

The Stellantis Connectivity Team is transforming the connected‑vehicle ecosystem by delivering software‑defined features and services across mobile apps, web platforms, in‑vehicle systems, and cloud backends. We build the digital foundation enabling end‑to‑end connectivity, remote services, OTA‑update flows, and the new Stellantis Service Delivery Platform (SSDP).

We are expanding our team with a Telematic Control Unit (TCU) APP Vehicle Line Release Engineer, responsible for ensuring seamless software and hardware delivery across multiple vehicle lines and Connected Services programs. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, software development, supplier management, and program execution, ensuring platform stability and high‑quality customer experiences across global launches.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities

As a TCU Vehicle Line Release Engineer, you will:

Program & Product Ownership

  • Act as the product owner for the TCU module across assigned vehicle lines, ensuring end‑to‑end readiness for every launch.
  • Drive the development plan for TCU onboard applications in alignment with project milestones, and offboard platforms roadmap.
  • Ensure consistent end‑to‑end connectivity across TCU, backend, data pipelines, subscriptions, OTA flows, and mobile app touchpoints.
  • Coordinate development, testing, and release of TCU software and APP components, ensuring all milestones are met.

Supplier & Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Lead suppliers through requirement clarification, development cycles, CVVR reviews, and defect resolution.
  • Conduct Technical Design Reviews (TDR) and ensure compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and release processes.
  • Collaborate daily with EE Architecture, validation, integration, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Launch Readiness & Issue Management

  • Manage software maturity and part‑number releases, ensuring traceability and timely delivery for all SOP milestones.
  • Drive defect triage, root-cause analysis, and daily crisis sessions to support launch‑gating activities.
  • Support vehicle production plants with EOL procedures, installation guidelines, diagnostics, and post‑launch improvements.

Tooling, Documentation & Process Adoption

  • Maintain an aligned, stack‑ranked product backlog to reduce randomization and enforce prioritization discipline.
  • Contribute to tooling simplification (single Jira, unified Confluence, centralized backlog in RTC).
  • Ensure documentation accuracy across DAC, PDP, CVVR, SRR, PN creation, and regulatory packages.
  • Collect and analyze logs from testing and in-plant. Perform the first triage

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Promote AI‑assisted workflows for code review, defect triage, and process efficiency.
  • Support ecosystem migrations (e.g., XP → SSDP) and future platforms.
  • Contribute to process optimization, quality improvements, and long‑term Connected Services scalability.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive electrical architecture, connected systems, or software‑based product engineering.
  • Knowledge of automotive connectivity architectures, CAN bus, and Ethernet.
  • Understanding of cloud systems, software development lifecycles, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience with requirements management and change‑control processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to drive issues to closure.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills in cross‑functional, international environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience with telematics, TCU integration, Connected Services, or OTA systems.
  • Familiarity with GitHub-based development pipelines and environment‑reduction strategies.
  • Understanding of PDP/DAC processes and automotive SOP cycles.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, RTC, and PLM tools.
  • Background in feature development, diagnostics, or embedded software integration.
  • Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools is a plus.
