Tax Risk Specialist - Maternity Cover

Within the Group Tax Risk Management and Regulation function , we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team. The role provides direct support to the Group Tax Risk Manager in the overall governance and development of the Tax Control Framework (TCF).
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Developing, updating, and enhancing internal methodologies related to tax risk management
- Maintaining and continuously improving the Tax Risk & Control Matrix, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal control requirements
- Coordinating and aligning Italian tax risk management processes with equivalent initiatives being implemented across international operations
- Managing data and information requests from other corporate functions, including Group Financial Reporting Risk, Data Quality, and Operational Risk
- Supporting the Cooperative Compliance and Litigation Team in activities connected to the management and evolution of the Cooperative Compliance regime
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Degree in Economics or Law
- At least 1 year of experience in the tax field
- Proven knowledge of Italian tax regulations and leading practices in risk management, governance, and internal controls
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles and risk analysis/assessment methodologies, including economic/financial and reputational impacts
Soft Skills
- Strong inclination toward studying, interpreting, and disseminating tax regulations, with the ability to assess impacts on the Generali Group and propose updates or improvements to the TCF model
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
- Ability to build strong working relationships with Italian and international colleagues across all areas of the Group
- Proactive mindset, initiative, and problem‑solving attitude
- Project management capabilities, team‑working attitude, and intercultural sensitivity developed through the management of complex change initiatives
