Role Description
The Construction Manager reporting directly to company management will be responsible for all strategic and operational activities that bring projects to completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
Operating with strong autonomy the successful candidate must have experience in managing design construction sites costs schedules and team coordination. Capable of managing the entire project lifecycle they will implement processes and methods to guide teams, consultants and subcontractors particularly on technically complex projects monitoring critical path elements and promptly communicating potential risks and delays to leadership.
With responsibility for budget and margin performance the role requires specialized expertise in construction costs including estimates, subcontractor bid evaluation, construction cost monitoring, direct purchasing, active and passive progress payment verification, value engineering, cashflow and monthly forecasting.
The Construction Manager will report to management for tender reviews and technical‑commercial contract verification. They will champion necessary actions to optimize team performance, integrating and creating synergies across all disciplinary activities.
This role serves as the primary point of contact and accountability for project performance for both the company and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary project liaison for company management
- Client and consultant relationship management (PM designers DL CSE)
- Multidisciplinary team coordination (design planning construction/site management professionals)
- Complete project lifecycle management
- Legal department support for contract review and negotiation
- Financial performance monitoring: cost and margin control with preventive or corrective actions
- Cashflow preparation and cost forecasting
- Subcontractor bid evaluation and project margin accountability
- Invoice approval and procurement planning
- Schedule strategy development and construction site setup
- Subcontractor selection and reporting management
Skills and Requirements
- Complete autonomy in project planning and management
- Excellent leadership and coordination skills for multidisciplinary teams of design professionals and construction technicians
- Technical activity programming and resource control to ensure planned production delivery
- Strong negotiation and problem‑solving capabilities
- In‑depth knowledge and experience in the construction sector
- Strong aptitude for working in multidisciplinary and international environments
- Commitment to continuous improvement and business process development
- Degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Proficiency in Office suite and MS Project
