Hostinger is seeking a System Engineer to design, run, and evolve infrastructure that powers millions of websites worldwide. The role involves collaborating with other engineers, building automation, and shaping system architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new features to improve hosting platform speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Deploy and run infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Operate and observe systems through real metrics and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Refine and tune systems to eliminate bottlenecks and simplify complexity.
- Improve monitoring and alerting to detect problems early.
- Share knowledge and review code with peers to raise engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Linux OS (3+ years).
- Proficiency with Ansible for automation.
- Programming or scripting skills in Python or Go (preferred both).
- Experience managing and optimizing web servers, databases, and caching systems.
- Comfort with cloud platforms such as GCP.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals – DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP.
- Experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and open-source contributions.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools beyond GitHub Actions.
- Ability to read Go and PHP code.
- RHCSA or RHCE certifications.
