SYSTEMIST / IT TECHNICIAN SYSTEMIST

We are looking for a person to be included in the IT team, with main office in Modena, possessing the following technical and transversal skills, for a systemist role. The candidate will be placed in a young, dynamic and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Management, configuration and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Administration of VMware / Hyper-V virtualization environments and physical servers.
• Managing Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid Exchange environments.
• Configuration and monitoring of storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam).
• Support for network and firewall management (VLANs, VPNs, security policies).
• Collaboration on cybersecurity activities (EDR/XDR, antispam, log and SIEM).
• Second/third level ticket handling, troubleshooting, and critical systems intervention.
• Drafting technical documentation and participating in infrastructure improvement projects.
• Collaboration with IT colleagues, vendors, and customers, including at external locations.

Requirements – Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• Operating systems and virtualization.
• Windows Server: installation, configuration and management (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• Linux: basic management (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS) for server services.
• Virtualization: experience on VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V, including cluster management.
• Servers: management of HPE, Dell, and Lenovo physical servers through integrated management tools and basic knowledge of hardware and rack mounting.

Messaging & cloud collaboration

• Management of hybrid Exchange On-Premise environments connected to Microsoft 365 (Office 365).
• O365 tenant administration: license, user, group and identity management (Entra ID / Azure AD).
• Storage & backup

Storage & backup

• Configuration and maintenance of third-party SANs (iSCSI/Fibre Channel) and VMware / Windows vSANs.
• Managing Backup & Disaster Recovery strategies with a focus on Veeam Backup & Replication.

Cybersecurity

• Implementation and monitoring of EDR / XDR solutions.
• Anti-spam and mail gateway systems management.
• Basic knowledge/management of SIEM systems for log analysis and correlation.

Networking & firewall

• L2/L3 equipment configuration (Cisco / Aruba switches): VLAN, trunking, port security, spanning tree.
• Concepts of routing, NAT, VPN and policy rules on firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, WatchGuard, CheckPoint, Sophos).

AI Tools – Knowledge of AI-based working tools to support troubleshooting, automation and documentation.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem solving skills and analytical approach in diagnosing and troubleshooting critical systems.
• Good stress management and prioritization during incidents, downtime, and urgent activities.
• Aptitude for teamwork and collaboration with IT colleagues, help desk, developers and external vendors.
• Ability to communicate clearly to non-technical users and in writing technical documentation/procedures.
