Responsibilities

  • Support the Alpitronic CLO (Calibration Law Officer) with all legal metrology topics
  • Lead and manage Eichrecht certification processes with national test agencies for all Alpitronic products
  • Carry out compliance analysis for new markets entry and support discussions with local authorities
  • Design, develop, and maintain the subsystem “legal metrology” for all Alpitronic products
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for metering accuracy (Europe and North America)
  • Develop and implement in-field calibration procedures and test plans for EV charging stations
  • Lead root cause analysis for metrology-related issues reported from the field, including implementation of corrective actions
  • Support field teams and customers in troubleshooting metering and calibration issues
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers or technicians as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • Completed studies in electronics, electrical engineering or mechatronics
  • Work experience and training in legal metrology and preferably also in type approval certifications
  • Knowledge of standards for AC and/or DC metering (e.g., EN 50470 series)
  • Experience in Eichrecht certifications (for meters or chargers) and knowledge of MessEG/MessEV is a plus
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving, proactive and excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
