Description
ARESYS is an Italian SME providing innovative satellite‑based sensing solutions to the Space and Defense markets. ARESYS offers 20+ years of expertise in designing and developing on‑board and on‑ground systems with a vertical specialization in microwawe (Radar, SAR) and Optical technologies.
We are looking for a System Configuration Manager to join our team and contribute to the management and governance of complex engineering projects. The selected candidate will operate within a multidisciplinary and international environment, collaborating closely with project stakeholders to ensure configuration integrity throughout the entire product lifecycle, in compliance with contractual, customer, and internal requirements.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Coordinate all the Configuration Management activities within projects.
- Adapt and maintain the Configuration Management system, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Execute the Configuration Management system within the project, in alignment with the internal repository of your entity.
- Specify the Configuration Management requirements to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Establish and lead the CCB: Waiver/Deviation Review Board, Changes Review Board, Interface Review Board; organise, lead and control the Configuration Control Boards both internally and with suppliers, and coordinate all related activities pre‑ and post‑CCB.
- Participate in end‑of‑phase reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR…) and deliver the Data package and EIDP.
- Perform or participate in configuration audits.
- Evaluate CADM effort and cost quotation with issue of relevant work package.
- Issue the CADM plan for the projects.
- Contribute to the Product and Specification Trees definition with engineering responsible.
- Define or contribute to the project CI identification list document.
- Define and issue the system or product CI D L to manage the baseline against the customer requirements.
Specific Skills
- Master standard configuration management processes and tools, especially those linked with product lifecycle.
- Capable of setting up, adapting and assessing the Configuration Management System, including contractual and commercial requirements, within your scope.
- Thrives in changing environments.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, with proven experience in configuration management.
- Experience in an integrated team combining specific developments and commercial solutions; appreciation for collaborative work and stimulating exchanges.
- Recognised for pragmatism, commitment, and rigor.
- Knowledge and experience with Eclipse tool.
