Within the Group Chief Investment function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team, who will provide internal and external leadership for integrating ESG topics into investment decision for Generali Group as Asset owner whit reference to a broad range of asset classes.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
* Developing and integrating ESG strategies (screening, integration, sustainable investment, and active ownership) into the investment process, across different asset classes to:
* support Group strategic objective and target on Sustainability (e.g. climate change, biodiversity, UNSDGs)
* manage Sustainability Risk related to investment (outside-in and inside-out risks)
* comply with relevant regulation (e.g. EU Sustainable Finance framework)
* Developing specific ESG investment guidelines to support Sustainable Insurance-based Investment Products development efforts, as well as public and corporate communications, as related to industry-specific or cross-sectoral sustainability topics
* Contributing in integrating ESG topics into portfolio companies' engagement and proxy voting
* Developing monitoring and reporting to:
* Senior management: Managerial reporting: sustainable investment KPIs and Targets
* Markets/Clients (e.g. SFDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD)
* Supervisory Authorities (e.g. EIOPA / IVASS)
* Ensuring alignment with applicable industry, collaborating closely and liaising with stakeholders in relevant industry associations and initiatives (e.g. UN PRI, Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance, Climate Action 100+)
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Management or Engineering
* At least 7-10 years' experience in a sustainable investing function, preferably within an asset owner or manager with international expertise or in the banking sector
* Solid Understanding of sustainable investing initiatives (i.e. UN PRI, TCFD, SASB, CA100+, GFANZ-NET ZERO collation)
* Solid understanding of the investment process of an asset owner/manager, in relation to different asset classes (Public Corporate/Sovereign as well as Real Asset - Private Equity, Debt and Real Estate)
* Analytical and Research skills: data-management skill will be consider a plus
* Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate research findings in both written and spoken format
* Comfortable collaborating closely with senior managers
* Able to work independently, establish and maintain working relationships internally and externally
* Change management and problem solving skills
* Client focused and pragmatic
* Ability to navigate complex organizations and build multi-stakeholder relationships
The following aspects will be considered a plus:
* Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other data management/analytics tools
* Strong knowledge and experience in writing presentation through Power Point
