What you’ll be doing day to day

  • Cooperate with the store management team to ensure Sustainability is integrated into the store Action Plan
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and consistent engagement throughout the local area
  • Establish and lead processes to facilitate the concrete and effective alignment of the sustainability strategy and its integration into the store's corporate agenda
  • Communicate internally and externally, the strategy and goals, acting as the company's ambassador on sustainability topics
  • Make sure that the store Action Plan is implemented and periodically checked through the Sustainability Functional Review and other relevant assessments
  • Act as reference person for co‑workers regarding sustainability related matters, contributing to co‑worker training and engagement initiatives
  • Work in cooperation with our national and local strategic partners and charitable organizations to ensure shared campaigns and initiatives are effectively planned, executed and communicated
  • Provide sustainability related contents for communication purposes, with special focus on local initiatives
  • Provide an inspiring and motivating direction for the store colleagues on how, together, we can grow IKEA in a sustainable and socially responsible way

What you’ll need to have

  • Demonstrated experience in the field of communication, Corporate Social Responsibility and a strong interest in sustainability issues
  • In‑depth knowledge of how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project
  • Ability to engage a receiver and create passion for your plans
  • Ability to create a strong network of partners internally and externally to the company
  • Ability to recognize the link between environmental sustainability and the commercial agenda
  • Committed to creating a more sustainable way of living
  • Good level of English
  • Self‑reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
