Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and eager to make a tangible impact in a global transport organization? We are looking for an Environmental Impact Specialist to join our Sustainability Department for a 1-year temporary assignment.
About the Role
As a Sustainability Environmental Impact Specialist, you will play a key role in assessing, monitoring, and reporting the company’s environmental footprint. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support compliance, develop environmental mitigation strategies, and contribute to our sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to the upkeep of cartographic database (GIS)
- Analyze and interpret environmental data using advanced cartographic and GIS tools.
- Prepare maps, datasets, and technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the team on data management and sustainability reporting and other sustainability communications (internal and external)
- Support environmental compliance, permitting processes, and regulatory monitoring.
- Contribute to internal sustainability initiatives and decarbonization strategies.
Requirements
- University degree (Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Natural Science or Biology or other relevant disciplines)
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Natural Science or Biology or other relevant disciplines, or related field. A master/post lauream course in Sustainability will be appreciated
- Essential: knowledge and hands‑on experience with cartographic and GIS software, including QGIS or ArcMap.
- Experience in sustainability reporting or environmental impact assessments (EIA), monitoring programs, and reporting (2–3 years experience minimum)
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced and international environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Passion towards environmental issues.
