Sustainability Consultant Italy (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Manage carbon accounting projects for assigned clients, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and alignment with both project profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as a subject matter expert incorporating GHG accounting, covering all relevant Scope 1, 2, and 3 categories, along with Product Carbon Footprint lifecycle stages.
• Support & deliver consulting projects related to CSRD, Net Zero, and Science Based Targets.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients within assigned projects, leading meetings, calls, and workshops.
• Identify and proactively communicate upselling opportunities to Account Management during ongoing client engagements.
• Support New Sales and Account Management in pitches and proposals for less complex prospects, providing expertise in carbon accounting and climate solutions where needed.

Qualifications

• You bring up to 2 years of experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, or a related area.
• You are familiar with GHG accounting standards, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 methodologies.
• You have a solid understanding of sustainability and carbon reporting frameworks (e.g. SBTi, CDP, CSRD) and relevant regulations.
• You apply your technical knowledge confidently and deliver accurate, high-quality work.
• You think analytically, turning data into clear insights and actionable outcomes.
• You effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time.
• You communicate clearly and professionally in Italian and English with clients and internal stakeholders.
• You are proactive and curious, always looking for ways to improve processes and create more value.
