Job Description
Sherwin Williams is looking for an enthusiastic self‑motivated Supply Chain Planner who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks aimed at monitoring and managing inventories, forecasting sales and production levels of multiple manufacturing locations throughout Europe.
Responsibilities
Analyze historical sales data to develop strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency.
Align short‑ and long‑term plans to balance supply and demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
Define preferred stock levels, prevent excess inventory, and recommend warehousing adjustments based on demand fluctuations.
Drive accountability with stakeholders on excess and obsolete finished goods.
Lead cross‑functional meetings to review forecasts and resolve operational challenges.
Partner with Customer Service and Operations to maintain service levels, timely deliveries, and compliance.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and product availability.
Manage finished goods inventory planning, reporting, and transfers between manufacturing sites, including phase‑in/phase‑out of SKUs.
Innovate planning models to optimize inventory, reorder points, safety stock, and production frequency.
Balance demand and production capacity across routings.
Develop master production schedules to support daily operations in production, inventory, and order fulfillment.
Performance metrics include: On‑Time Delivery, Inventory Quality Ratio, Production & Sales Backlog, Excess & Obsolete Stock, and Stock Coverage.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field
Experience in key supply chain functions (planning, production, logistics, distribution) and inventory management
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and IT systems
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (Access is a plus)
Excellent analytical and modeling skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Detail‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to build productive relationships across all levels
Reliable, resilient, and adaptable
Fluent in Italian & English
