Alexander Steele have partnered with a major international FMCG group to identify a high-calibre Supply Chain Manager to support their strategic expansion across the Italian market.


With strong category performance and ongoing investment in operations, the company is strengthening its supply chain capability to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable delivery across the market.

This role will take full ownership of end-to-end supply chain operations, driving excellence across planning, logistics, and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including demand planning, production planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Build and manage the supply plan, ensuring close alignment with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Optimise service levels, stock availability, and cost-to-serve across all channels.
  • Drive S&OP processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage relationships with 3PL partners, transport providers, and co-manufacturers.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Ensure supply chain operations comply with global standards, quality frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a small supply chain team to deliver high performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in supply chain or planning roles within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of demand planning, S&OP, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex supply networks.
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • Competent with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and planning tools.
  • Fluent Italian with strong English communication skills.
