Supply Chain Manager (f/m/d)

What Awaits You

This role is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end supply chain in the Italian plants (Bresso and Pieve) for all customer requirements within the respective value stream by creating daily and weekly production plans and schedules, balancing inventory and optimizing the metal flow from raw material to finished goods. You will lead a team of 9 people in the areas Demand Planning, Master Planning, Order Planning, Scheduling, Logistics and collaborate closely with the E2E Planners for Novelis Europe.

• You are responsible for optimizing the supply chain of the respective value stream meeting high and specific customer service levels in a safe manner.
• You take over the planning of metal flow coming in the plant and going out of the plant as well as external warehouse and you ensure the material mix is arriving on time and with sufficient quantity to achieve the production schedule.
• You coordinate the production schedule and the material flow to the plant together with the regional team.
• You are responsible for optimizing the plant schedule to deliver the maximum productivity while meeting the service level and cost target and to provide direction to the production team when the schedule cannot be produced as planned due to technical issues or material flow issue.
• You monitor production performance and review capacity parameters, initiate improvement or adjustment actions with supply chain, operations, quality or sales.
• You analyze customer demand forecast and sales orders in terms of order lead times, quantities and frequencies to determine optimal supply and service strategy.
• You are the key link to the local finance team for anything related to metal cost, logistics costs and inventory.
• You develop and grow talent in the team and implement a culture of accountability, collaboration.

How You Convince Us

• You hold a university degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering or a similar field.
• You bring at least 5 years of experience within supply chain in a manufacturing environment with exposure to planning and scheduling.
• You bring an IT affinity, especially with ERP and MES systems.
• You have strong communication and leadership skills which you demonstrated in a matrix environment.
