We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our plant in Cologna Veneta (VR).


Job Summary


The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the supply chain activities for industrial machinery manufacturing.

The role ensures correct level of inventory and timely availability of components and sub-assemblies, supporting production efficiency, cost control, and on-time shipment of complex, make-to-order machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute supply chain strategies to support machinery production, engineering, and project timelines.
  • Manage procurement of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, as well as outsourced manufacturing activities.
  • Oversee MPS production slot management, material planning, MRP, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Project Management, Sales, and Quality to ensure alignment between demand, design changes, and supply availability.
  • Manage supplier selection, qualification, performance evaluation, and development, with a focus on quality, lead times, and cost.
  • Monitor and optimize production planning and capacity loading for make-to-order and engineer-to-order environments.
  • Identify supply chain risks (supplier capacity, long lead-time items, single-source components) and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage KPIs (OTD supplier , inventory DIO, OTS machines, lead time machines, lead time warehouse operations) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics and Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Solid experience in supply chain or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and production planning processes.
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
  • Experience managing long lead-time and custom components.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in complex, project-driven organizations.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, S&OP, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with international suppliers and global logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (APICS CSCP, CPIM, PMP).
  • Experience in engineer-to-order (ETO) or make-to-order (MTO) manufacturing models.
